Review on πŸ“ž Enhanced Communication: VTech 2960 900 MHz 2-Line Digital Phone with Answering System by Lakeisha Butler

Great list of features. if they worked.

I bought this phone about a year ago because of the extensive feature list. The dual-line capability with conferencing was ideal for the home office. However, if you connect two lines together, I can hear both sides, but they can't hear each other. So I have to repeat what one person says to another. The base battery backup feature seemed like a great way to save your settings during a power outage. However, what they don't tell you is that the backup battery will ONLY allow you to make and receive phone calls. All setting information will NOT be retained during a power failure. Every time you turn off the power, you have to reprogram the base unit - a time-consuming and unintuitive process. I will never know why they choose this method. The headphone jack was just what I needed for hands-free calling. But after two months, the headphone jack wore out. Another feature that has become unusable. Digital answering machine for both lines was another feature I was looking for. Now I could replace the single line digital answering machine I had on one line and the tape answering machine on the other line. But then again, the recording quality on this Vtech is so bad I had to go back to the old answering machines I had. Do not worry. They are so customer hostile and tell you the problem is you and not their phone. This is my first and last Vtech product. Verdict: Great list of features, but none of them work as advertised. Customer service is a waste of time. Check out another manufacturer's product.
