Review on πŸ“„ Premium Metallic Gold Cardstock Paper for Card Making - 8.5 x 11 In, 48 Sheets by Kristen Reid

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good option for needlework!

I use card for die cutting and card making and other paper crafts. The top photo is my favorite brand and the bottom one was cut from this new packaging. I'm very glad I did this. When they called it "mirror-like," they weren't kidding! I didn't realize my previous favorite set of gold cards was *no until I put them side by side. However, it's much better than the "gold" paper I bought, it was more of a muted brown with barely noticeable sheen. Aside from being quite reflective, I'd also say it's a little more yellow gold than my favorite. But it's also significantly cheaper (about $15 for an 8x8 book with just 36 leaves, only half of which were gold, while this pack of 50 letter-size gold leaves costs the same.) Although I still love the aesthetics I prefer a slightly softer, less mirror-like version of the famous brand, you can't beat the price. The weight is also almost identical and it slices nicely. All in all, I'm saving my expensive box for additional custom projects and am happy to add this game to my growing cache. Another note: the back is white. My favorite has a kraft paper backing. Neither is bi-directional so for comparison I'd say it's a tie.
