Very cute pattern and Pippin is very happy that he is now a very big dog. I bought this raincoat for Pip because it has been raining for 3 days. and forecasts say 8-9 more rainy days are expected. Of course we can't put off our walks for that long. After looking at many Revain listings, I decided on this raincoat based on the reviews and the price (and the pattern). I feel like I got my money's worth. What you get is a raincoat for a dog, made of raincoat-like plastic. I didn't notice any odor (like a new shower curtain) and I liked that the raincoat came in its own little carrier. The material of the cloak is very similar to what my cloak is made of, only thinner. Not cheap thin, just light. (Personally my LLBean cloak is thick and hot so I look at Pippin enviously.) What you get is a cloak with a hood and a hole in the back for you to use a leash hook. The hood is really big but I think it should fit all dog shapes out there. It's easy to put a dog in a jacket if he's okay with it. You simply lay it on its back and then attach the belly band and buttons in the front that go across your pup's chest. In Pippin's case, I roll up the hood a bit so it doesn't cover his eyes. The hood doesn't fit well. But it's better to just dry his head and legs than him all over. SIZINGI was a little apprehensive about sizing but after receiving the raincoat I saw that it really is as easy as it sounds. There are two main measurements that will help you. First, it's the girth of the midsection. Second, the length of your dog. The length is the more important number in my opinion, because a raincoat that is too short will get your butt wet. You measure the length from the base of the neck to the tip of the tail. Once you know you can choose the size. All that's left is to confirm that the belly strip works and choose a pattern. Due to the Velcro used as a closure, there is some variation in the size of the belly. The raincoat is cute and durable. The material is not oppressively heavy, so the dog has nothing to complain about. The only downside for me is that the hood doesn't fit perfectly and doesn't always stay in place. I'm not sure how you could fix this without adding something that would annoy most dogs. I recommend.
