Review on Men's Athletic Shoes: Brooks Adrenaline in Alloy Grey and Black by Wayne Flores

Revainrating 4 out of 5

13EE runs a little brighter than other brands

Glad they're wide. I wear a 13 Wide (EE) shoe and this shoe seems slightly larger in length and width than ASICS and New Balance in the same size. This works fine as long as I wear double socks with Brooks and wrap the laces. I probably won't buy them again as I think they're overpriced, but if I did I'd try the 12 1/2 EE next time. This is my first pair of Brooks. Good quality shoes, like other good brands. The upper is very thin and breathable and the sole is very stiff compared to my other running shoes. This is less comfortable but offers more support for the sole of the foot. The thin upper doesn't feel as supportive or durable as I would like. I would compare them to other sneakers for around $100. It's great that they come in a large size so I gave them a try but the 140 doesn't seem like a smart buy unless they last a lot longer than the alternatives. The time will show.

Pros
  • Okay --- I like them better than glycerine --- which I found too tight
Cons
  • Not suitable for wide feet
