This is a great first monitor to buy if you are just starting to build your own PC. It has many great options to choose from. I really like it because it's so easy to plug and play. I have connected a PC, PS4 and Xbox 1 to this monitor and it works perfectly. great colors and very bright. I didn't see true pure black but that's because it's a backlit screen. But my favorite part of this screen is that the sun or light doesn't blind my screen or interfere with my gameplay. Please note that this screen does not have built-in speakers but provides excellent images. I love it
