I suffered from plantar fasciitis and my doctor told me to get rid of all my old shoes and change shoes every few days. This plan has worked well for me, as have all of my ASICS shoes. I'm not a big fan of the soft mesh uppers that are popular in athletic shoes these days and wanted something more "structured" but without the weight and bulkiness. They are perfect for that. The upper is made of durable, dense fabric that is highly water-repellent. Of course, style is a personal choice, but I think they look good for everyday use as well as for training. Good cushioning which I need for my plantar fasciitis. The only sticking point is that the insert is glued on. It looks like it's removable, but I don't want to risk it while it's new. With my plantar fasciitis, I like to change the insoles regularly to give my feet more variety without needing so many shoes.
