The original ZS10 had a larger size that fewer people could enjoy. I had to test many earbuds from other IEMs to find one that worked well and offered a deep fit that also partially blocked ports. This made the bass sound deeper, more powerful and faster. But this is ZS10 PRO. In many ways they are similar, but firstly, finding the perfect fit is much easier for almost everyone, even when working with the tips provided for perfect fit, sound and comfort. It's also significantly louder. The main difference is that 2KHz is set back a bit compared to the PRO model, while 6KHz stands out a bit more. The sound quality, micro details, images, soundstage and balance are roughly the same as the original. Although for people who had a looser fit with the original, there's definitely more bass to be heard on the PRO, and the PRO will seem like a definite improvement. Like the original, it blocks outside noise more than the average IEM. For those unfamiliar with KZ with 5 IEM drivers, they all have an extended high range but a softer side above 7kHz as it should for high quality IEMs. In comparison, all KZ dual-drive hybrids seem to have a small peak around 10-12kHz, which can lead to possible ear fatigue, while otherwise being just as beneficial.
