Regular shirts are easier to iron, but you can do without dry cleaning

As far as steamships are concerned, I think that's fine. But if you think it would be easier than ironing a cotton or linen shirt, think again. As you can see in my before and after photos, even after 10 minutes of steaming, cotton and linen shirts still don't look wrinkle-free. Perfect ironing only takes a few minutes and most hotels have an iron so I don't see why you would travel with it. But it works well with thin fabrics like a vintage silk scarf. It's also a great option for freshening up and sanitizing clothes and accessories that are dry-cleaned only. Some people suggest using clothespins around the edges of clothing. I've found that pant hangers hold clothes better and keep hot steam a safe distance from my fingers.
