Much better than Ziploc containers. If you put food in it warm, it sucks when you open it again. Like these glass bottles you could use to store fruit or preserves. Haven't used it for the freezer yet but they look great. Tried to buy those ziploc freezer containers, those plastic jugs, they're useless, air gets in and it's cold everywhere. Here's another example you know when you put rice in the fridge to dry for 24 hours. you can't do that because the moisture stays inside and the rice is still damp because no air can get in to dry it out! Oh it's a cooking trick, btw chills the rice in the fridge for 24 hours, it dries out and is perfect for Spanish rice or fried rice the next day. But you can't do this trick with these containers because they'll still be wet the next day!
