Bought for a trip to Europe. Unfortunately, since writing this review, I've noticed that the wire inside the bag that serves as cut protection is now protruding through the material at the bottom of the bag. However, it was small and light enough to pack everything you need for a day of touring. It fits a small water bottle, a thin plastic raincoat, small sunscreens, lipstick (fits in the second outer pocket), etc. Sunglasses (fits in the front pocket), iPad mini (fits in the large inner pocket on the back), the phone slides easily into the rear side pocket Only the large zip area has a secure zip (it is not a lock but may deter pickpockets) It can easily be carried on the front if required as many museums ask not to carry backpacks on the back I like the ikat design and I used it instead of a handbag. The material is durable and probably waterproof, although I sprayed it just in case. I like the little loop at the top for easy hanging on the hooks. The straps are very thin but you won't be carrying anything heavy so this won't be a problem. This isn't the type of bag you go camping or carry around take away from books use it as wallet .
