Review on Boska Holland Milano Collection Mini Raclette Set: Compact and Cheesy Delights! by Kerri Houston

I got this last winter and have used lots of it - it's really handy and comes with little plastic spatulas to take the cheese out of the little saucepan without scratching the non-stick surface. I've already had a large (serves 8) raclette bowl that took up too much space on the kitchen counter, got too hot, and was cumbersome to pull out of the cupboard (okay, I'm lazy), and I rarely have more than 8 people. I want raclette. It's a great compact size and can be used for 4 people since each person doesn't have to constantly melt a piece of cheese. The on/off switch is handy so you don't have to get up while you're eating and turn it off if you're still eating, but with the melting raclette it does, and it heats up quickly too if you change your mind. I wanted to turn it on/off as my last raclette maker would have brewed everyone at the table as if we were sitting next to an open fire, but that wasn't a problem with the mini raclette. The raclette melted quickly and perfectly. Although the top rack is small, I just put a (medium sized) pot of boiled potatoes right on top and it kept them hot (keep some water on the bottom of the pot).
