because I really like the red tin of Kalour Crayons. The colors of these watercolor pencils are wonderful. The paint is easy to apply, it can be used both dry and with water. They dissolve perfectly when water is added with a wet brush. I love these pencils except too many of them kept breaking when sharpened no matter how I tried to sharpen them. I use high quality sharpeners/knives so I don't think it's caused by anything I'm doing. After making a color map and drawing something, a couple of pencils went more than halfway out. Many pencils break very easily during use, so I babysit them or try to use them while the broken core tips wiggle. If it weren't for the defective cores, I would definitely rate these 5 stars. They are beautiful, apart from frequent glitches.
