Poor design of compact radios and stereos

We've had a lot of the previous Sony ICF-S79W (weather and weather models). The new design is shorter, bulkier and harder to lift and move, ESPECIALLY when slightly damp from shower mist. It's edgier and edgier and doesn't fit the hand at all. The greatest claim to sound quality, REALLY IRON speakers. We played both models side by side for testing and the difference is VERY noticeable. All in all, this is a bad redesign and a redesign for no apparent reason. And I'm sure next time for $80 we can do better elsewhere.
