I have been using vitamin C on my skin for several years. Vitamin C serums are one of those products that I can say has really transformed my skin over the years. My skin just looks brighter and better. It also reduces dark spots and sun spots on my face. I usually use 20% serum. I used Timeless 20% vitamin C plus vitamin E and ferulic acid. I read that adding vitamin E and ferulic acid is very important. Cerave contains 10% vitamin C, 3 ceramides (1, 3, 6-II), as well as vitamin B5 and hyaluronic acid. Vitamin B5 helps keep skin soft, smooth and healthy. It also has anti-inflammatory effects that can help stimulate skin healing processes. Hyaluronic acid binds water and helps retain moisture in the skin. It helps your skin retain moisture when you apply a moisturizer. So how do I feel about Cerave and Timeless? I really like the Cerave product. Cerave comes in a sealed tube so the product stays fresh and doesn't oxidize, which is a problem with vitamin C. I also feel that Cerave helps and my skin feels better. I really didn't notice any drop in performance with only 10% vitamin C. It can even be the best choice for people with sensitive skin. Both are roughly in the same price range. Cerave is definitely easier to use due to the thicker formula and packaging. Cerave is allergy tested, fragrance free, paraben free and non-comedogenic.
