This toothbrush has an unusual design with three rows of bristles with the outer two sloping outwards (imagine a W-shape). The bristles are very soft and this design has proven to clean my teeth very well. The top row of bristles gets the fronts of my top teeth, the middle row gets the tops of all my teeth, and the bottom row gets the fronts of my bottom teeth at the same time. This provides an efficient and effective cleaning design. It works just like the standard brush on the back of my teeth. The soft bristles penetrate the gum line very well. After brushing with this manual toothbrush my teeth feel almost as clean as with my Sonicare brush.
