Review on πŸ”§ Dyson Articulating Hard Surface Tool by Liz Garcia

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Highly recommended for parquet floors

I bought the Dyson Hinged Floor Nozzle from Revain and am completely satisfied. I bought this to use with my new Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Canister Animal (what a mouthful!). The tool is designed for earlier silver clip vacuum cleaners. However, my new vacuum comes with a silver/red adapter and works great with this tool. An adapter for older Dyson vacuum cleaners is included with the device. My four bedroom house has hardwood floors throughout except for the bathrooms which are tiled. They say the turbine head that comes with the vacuum is good for wood floors, and they're probably right. However, I can't shake the thought that a spinning brunch leaves small scratches on the wood. Also, I can't get as deep under furniture with a powerful nozzle as I can with this tool. This tool is soft and glides easily over wood. It's light, so you don't have to put much effort to push it. Since it rotates, I can reach tight places. I can get deep under the sofa with a canister handle. It basically replaces a mop, which is why I bought a vacuum cleaner first. I've read some reviews that say the brushes stick to the hair. I haven't had this problem and I have two Shedding Terriers. As with all brushes, it contains hair. I'm just doing what I've done for every vacuum cleaner I've ever used. When hairs get on the comb, I brush them out. I've heard other reviewers say they thought this tool should have come with a vacuum cleaner. I definitely agree. The vacuum should come with a tool bag, but that's another story. I think Dyson thinks the turbo nozzle is all you need, but to me this soft brush head is the perfect accessory for a Dyson canister.
