This comes fully assembled, you just need to hang it using the hardware provided or yourself using the 2 keyholes on the back. It is made of lightweight solid wood planks. The finish looks old and worn. Mine is bleached and then sanded here and there for a rustic rustic look. Black metal drawers with dry brushed gold metallic finish on the fronts. The drawers will easily hold a huge roll of toilet paper from a warehouse while leaving plenty of room. They can also be paired with half-folded gloves or a hat or tri-folded. The roller hooks are flat steel with the same treatment and finish as the drawers. They seem sturdy enough to hang thick bath sheets on, but my husband's 3xl winter three-layer coat is starting to warp. I really like this, but FYI. I added a couple of L-brackets under the top because if you accidentally press on the shelf while unhooking an item, you can dislodge it from one or both keyhole hangers. The "L" shaped brackets prevent it from moving up and are not visible when drawers are in place. That's the only reason I deducted a star. Overall I'm happy with it, and the addition of the "L" brackets ensures it doesn't accidentally fall off the wall. Before I forget, mine has a strong smell, I think it was the smell of white paint, which went away a little after a day. Hope that was helpful, thanks!
