If you look at these water shoes they have two basic styles, in several patterns/colors. This particular one (the one with the laces) has a piece of plastic at the top of the heel portion of the shoe, to reinforce it (see photo). I find that piece to rub on my foot and I could see it forming a blister very quickly. The other style that they have (with velcro closure) simply has a piece of what looks like neoprene running up/down the entire height of the shoe to reinforce the ankle. (This style looks more like the tiger print if you are looking at the shoes from the top.) I have a pair of the 2nd style on the way and I'm hoping it will be more comfortable and not rub on the back of my heel like this pair does. For sizing, they definitely run large. I normally wear an 8.5 or 9 in most styles and for these I definitely fit the 7 or 7.5 (depending on how snug of a fit you like). The Euro sizing appears to be much more accurate though because I am usually a 38 or 39 Euro which is exactly what fits me in this shoe. The company's euro sizing is as follows:size 7.5 US = 39size 7 US = 38Hopefully that helps people to choose their size so they don't have to do a bunch of purchases/returns like I did.
