This was a replacement for one of those smart cases. For me it's much better! I can rest easy knowing I can take it anywhere there is water or the kitchen and not worry about damaging my iPad. It has strong plugs for the connections to keep them waterproof. The strap is amazing. I can take it easy, and if my hands are full, don't worry. I can carry my iPad without dropping it. Good case! I bought a shoulder bag for my tablet so I can take it with me. The cost of this bag and shoulder bag was less than the less versatile bag.
