This spray can be used as an air freshener or toilet spray. I think it works best and should be bought for use as such. Just spray on the water surface before you go. These types of sprays help mask and absorb odors before washing them out. Sometimes it's not necessary, but sometimes it's nice not to leave a smell, you know? (One little tip/trick: even Febreze and other home fragrances can work for this - just spray it down the toilet before you leave. Voila!) As for air use, it only adds a light scent. Doesn't linger long - on par with other essential oil-based sprays. For longer-lasting products, you need a synthetic room fragrance spray. When it comes to essential oil sprays, it's better if they can be sprayed onto something, not just up in the air. So maybe spray it on your shower curtain, towel or even your carpet. However, it's just not a durable product (and not just from this brand). Be careful when using around cats and dogs - it contains essential oils - they should not ingest (or inhale) it on their feet or fur. Smells good. Mine leaked a little in the packaging. Luckily it was packaged well and the leak was only in the packaging and not anything else.
