Review on Memory Foam Stirrup Ankle Brace by Michael Nard

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Too much pressure on lateral ankle (outside of ankle)

I purchased this item because my doctor recommended a stirrup bandage instead of a cast after breaking an ankle. I ordered it the next day with Revain Prime so the price was right with next day shipping. The stand is actually well made and robust, but I wouldn't call it universal. When I managed to position it so that it properly supported my ankle, it "bited" my lateral ankle (outer ankle) to the point where I bruised it and it didn't last more than an hour am piece could wear. I had high hopes that it would be comfortable because of the memory foam pads, but they just reminded me that my ankle was messed up. I have skinny legs and apparently "bony" ankles so this might be an issue as another customer who reviewed the brace liked it. For the price, it might be worth trying as these are less than half the price of similar braces. So far I have found that bandaging and wrapping the ankle for support is much more convenient (albeit time consuming).
