I've never been able to get the Zosi View app to work without a Wi-Fi connection at home. The cameras and DVR seem to work well, but if like me you want to watch from home then not so much. I was never able to connect the Remote View app. It connected when the phone was connected to home wifi, but when you weren't connected to home wifi it always gave an error that it couldn't connect. I researched for several hours and sent several emails and photos to the support team, but I could not solve the problem. I was able to get email notifications, but had to set up a new Gmail account and adjust my security settings to allow less secure apps access, contrary to Gmail's recommendations. I use Google Fiber as my ISP and the problem seems to be that the apps using this system are not secure and don't allow apps access through the fiber optic firewall. I finally gave in and bought another brand of system, used the DVR there and set it up remotely via the FLIR Cloud app in less than ten minutes with no problems. I tried giving Zosya another chance, maybe it was just a problem with Google Fiber so I installed it on another family member since they use Spectrum as their ISP but got the same results and the exact same login error. I wish I could return the DVR and keep the cameras as I don't want to remove the cameras or cables as I put a lot of effort into routing the cables through the pipe and finding them where I wanted them. If you need remote access to your system, save money and headaches by buying another brand. I made the mistake of believing the mostly positive reviews on Amazon. If you do more research outside of the Revain website, several others will have the same issues. Some forums suggested possible workarounds, but they required purchasing additional hardware and lowering the security level of the home network. After I wrote the first review, I was contacted by customer service and offered to return the dash cam on credit only. They gave me a $150 loan, which I thought was more than fair. When I tried to set up remote access, customer support always replied to my emails within 24 hours and tried to answer every question and suggest possible solutions to solve my problem. The settings I am supposed to set on my Google fiber optic network box/router, Google doesn't give you a way to change them. I was happy with the DVR and cameras apart from the fact that there was no remote access.
