Review on πŸ’™ L'Oreal Paris Colorista Semi-Permanent Midnight Blue Hair Color for Brunettes by Carol Merkley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I love this stuff and have been using it for years!

I've been using this product for years, it's always my go-to product when I want to spice up my hair with a fun new color. in case it helps anyone else: 1. It's really temporary and quite a lot comes out with each wash so try to limit how often you wash your hair. That being said, some color lingers for a while even after he says it should be completely washed out (usually when I recolor it). 2. Your shower will take on a whole new color if you're not careful BUT it's easily washed out by either soaking the tub in bleach water for an hour or so, or just leaving it there and waiting for it to wash out after washing your hair disappears . I usually just leave the shade (mine is blue) in the bath and after 2-3 washes all the blue is gone. If it gets on the shower walls it's a different story and I would use a Lysol bleach based mopping or bathroom cleaner. This will kill your pillowcases. Luckily this shows up when you soak up Scream or Oxyclin, but if I were you I would just switch my pillowcase to a darker color or one that matches your color so it's not obvious and ruins your pillowcase. 4. I think the formula has changed/updated over the years because I remember when the directions said the color should be applied to dirty, dry hair. Now he needs clean, damp hair. I personally see better color results using the old "dirty" method for dry hair. The hair is neither dirty nor dirty, but not fresh either. I also let it sit on my hair for at least 45 minutes before rinsing it out. I'm no hair expert so this might do something bad to my hair that I don't know about but it gives me the best color and haven't had any negatives yet. Cover the surface with something to throw away. It might seem obvious but the first time I did this I made a huge mess, it got my white bathroom counter dirty and it took me forever to clean up. Just in case it's not obvious, place a garbage bag or paper bag on the surface to save yourself a headache.
