Does a security job
We use it to keep our little dog out of the bedroom. Before purchasing this gate we used wooden gates and had to climb over or move the gate to get in or out. It is desirable that the gates open, they are strong and the dog cannot go through them or over the top. The only aspect I don't like is the top switch/release latch on top as it hurts my finger when I have to open it. It's not easy to open and I can understand it being more difficult for a small child, but the gate also has a latch at the bottom that needs to be opened at the same time.
