But then again, if you don't need an accurate instrument, why buy a dial gauge? This thing looked like it was filled with gravel. When you press the plunger, it twitches and jumps. I'm sure it can be used to get a rough idea, but if you need it the stakes are probably high and you're better off buying the real tool. Wasted work week waiting for this junk.
