Review on ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Curved Glass Insert Round Metal Hanging Candle Lantern by Kathleen Roy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not bad, but I intend to make it even better

Pros: Sturdy candlestick looks like a real 18th century piece, can hold up to 9 tealights at a time, curved glass panels emit light but they are not magnifying lenses nor are they reflectors - both of which are commonly found in Victorian lanterns such as this one. The color outside is dark gray with small spots of rust, the color inside is dark rusty. The hard metal lid will get hot when using the candles and you will have to open the lid to extinguish the candles so this must be done carefully. The metal lid and dark color inside really reduce the amount of light this lantern gives off - 6 tealights gives a bright glow in my other lanterns, but in this lamp the light is soft and dim, like a night lantern. Conclusion: This article could be done better and I hope to improve the light by painting the inside of the lantern gloss white. You can even paint the outside black or red! While it doesn't enhance the brilliance, this piece will be remembered for its unique authentic 19th-century look.
