🕯️ Curved Glass Insert Round Metal Hanging Candle Lantern Review

Much larger than expected. Green but beautiful. The door does not close completely. I can adjust it better myself. Still not as nice as it could be. It was for the patio but too pretty for the street, so he left it to decorate his hideout.

When we received the flashlight today both concave parts of the glass were either not attached or had popped out. The whole medal intended to hold the glass was bizarrely curved. One of the domed/concave pieces of glass was slightly broken off in one spot along the edge. The door didn't close properly without flexing, there was also a gap between the door and the interior. As the metal is so thin I would advise you to only use electric/LED lights this will protect it from damage or burns.

I never forget to check these measurements and assumed they would be a lot smaller than they actually are. The measurements above don't exactly match the ones I just took. From the top of the pommel to the base just over 13 inches. With the hangar on top, fully vertical, the whole thing is over 15 inches tall. It's massive and looks impressive. Looks just like the photo! Exactly what I have wanted for a very long time - can be carried in the hand without touching the candle; antique look; also firmly on the table. I love the curved glass panes, but one of them popped out (not broken) when I turned the lantern on its side. I had to bend back the metal tabs holding all the glass panes (not a problem, but the buyer shouldn't have to do that). A lower corner is badly bent. I used pliers to gently bend it back into shape. Pros: Sturdy candlestick looks like a real 18th century piece, can hold up to 9 tealights at a time, curved glass panels emit light but they are not magnifying lenses nor are they reflectors - both of which are commonly found in Victorian lanterns such as this one. I bought this to replace the one I was using as a Halloween prop. The old one was made in the style of a crafting mission, and was much lighter, thinner, and slightly smaller.
