Tough plastic: engines and engine parts
Some reviews said it was cheap plastic. While I wish VW would make the pipe out of metal, it is. I thought this part was the perfect size and made of very durable plastic and I hope my 15 year old Passat has many years to come with this dipstick tube getting the job done.
