Review on ⚡ WZRELB Reliable 2000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter: 12V to 120V 60Hz, LED Display, Solar Power, Black by Jeffery Pricinoc

A few tips, but so far they work.

So far, so good. I've been using it for about a month though only on a solar backup system so not much. A few things to know: 1. The output voltage is a bit high, not much, but around 126, not 110/120. As far as I can tell, 15% of the tension needed isn't a big deal, and you can adjust the tension but have to partially disassemble it. 2. You must connect all 4 battery cables if you have them. I have a 12V 2000W model with two positive and two negative pins. You must use all 4 between battery and inverter. 3. The indicator flashes when the battery is charged to 12.7 or even 12.6 volts. But it still works fine. Just a warning light. 4. When I tried to use the box fan with variable speed, it triggered the internal switch. Turn it off, firmly turn it back on. The problem persisted, but there were no issues at all when plugged into a surge protector or power strip. a 27dc battery. This thing is quiet, at least on the light loads I run it almost never turns on the fan. The fan is loud but efficient and rarely runs for more than half a minute. Now that I'm using it more often, it can run whatever I want, within limits, without having to exit settings, as discussed above with the fan. However, I had my first problem a few days ago. I decided to run a 1000w coffee pot on a single battery. The voltage dropped as expected, but since I have a 2000 watt inverter I figured the battery would be the only issue. Well, next thing I know, the fan turns on, runs for about a minute, the low voltage alarm goes off, and then I smell smoke. I check the inverter, it looks normal, I open the battery compartment and smoke comes out. As a result, my battery burned out, the negative contact broke, and acid leaked out. I can't say the inverter is to blame, but the negative wires overheated and the insulation melted. They still appear to be working but since the warranty was 10 days away I contacted the seller. 12-hour reply, information exchange and boom, tracking number of 4 new cables in 3 days. Haven't received it yet but I've tried other cables I found, no problems with the inverter. Should they be overheated to begin with? Maybe not since it was under 2000 watts. But since I only had one battery, a Walmart marine battery, maybe it was my fault. But for my purposes I don't need a full size coffee pot and I had about 1500 watts at a time with no problems. In any case, it may be a larger cable, but it could also just be my stupidity. The inverter is great and I am 100% satisfied with the product and the service!

Pros
  • Switching from 12 VDC to 120 VAC, 60 Hz, two US outlets. Cooling fan with intelligent temperature control. Ground for PCB and output. Digital LED display.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
