These brackets look and feel like a higher quality product and I was looking forward to new and heavier straps for securing cars to my trailer. Unfortunately, even with careful installation, proper tilt and tension, they can come loose very quickly on a bumpy road. I've had rides where they never lost their tension and rides where I could see them drape tautly on the trailer deck for a mile or two in the side mirrors. I can't have that unpredictability in a product that delivers several thousand pounds at 70mph. This is on tires with large tread blocks that provide good traction with the "teeth" of the belt block and on a car that is at best in gear and the brake is fully functional and engaged. I would like to buy another Vulcan kit. another guy as the quality is really great but i will never get this design again.
