The Covid pandemic has created a market for health and hygiene products that the patient does not need to touch. Or if you are at home with a loved one who is ill, you can use this without fear of being exposed to unseen "germs". I'm an RN and we've started using them exclusively at work. They are as accurate as the user or as inaccurate as the user's error. I put it close to the person's forehead and wait for a beep after pressing. So far that seems to be true. It's small, comes with the necessary batteries, and is compact/lightweight. An infrared sensor is what you need these days and this thermometer fills those needs.
