You can do it yourself!

It's fantastic to find an aftermarket product that corrects a manufacturer's defect at a fraction of the price that can be returned to Nissan for repair. I read that Nissan lists $1500 but didn't even bother to look. Less than $100 for it? Ideal. It was delivered very quickly and as soon as it arrived I used a YouTube video called Murano Seat Bracket Assembly Removal/Replacement which was very detailed. The product is very well made and looks better in every way than the fancy mount if I can compare the two. The hardest part was squeezing and holding the foam to remove the nuts under the bottom of the seat. A set of metric flat ratchet wrenches will make this possible, and I would go further and recommend a set of wrenches that also flex the head. I think if the head of the wrench could flex a bit it wouldn't be that hard to hold back the foam. I saw them in HD when I bought my set but made the mistake of buying the regular ones. Still, it's ok, the ratchet worked. Notably, only 12 and 14mm keys were needed. All in all, this job took me about four hours from opening the driver's door to closing it after work was done. Fantastic, would definitely do it again.
