It used to be that you get what you pay for but these days there are so many fancy brands selling junk at a bargain price. Yes, this Osprey pack comes with a premium price tag, but it deserves it. I'm a 25+ mountain biker and have tried many hydration packs and this one fits me better than any. It has a rigid frame, which alarmed me at first. After wearing it, I found that it didn't stand out at all. The strap on the back is to keep the frame away from your body and keep the backpack a little away from your body. No more super hot sweaty back that acts like a water heater for your hydration. There are bigger backpacks with more pockets to stash, but I immediately put this backpack to the test when I rode more than 50km across the countryside. The reservoir held just the right amount of water, and the backpack had more than I needed. I didn't feel the weight of the backpack at all. You won't be disappointed.
