Ideal for places that require direct, direct and bright lighting. IE>. Direction indicators, signal lamps, etc. They have practically no dispersion. Right in front of the socket. This makes them a poor choice for places like speedometers and gauges that use fiber optics or plastic directional lighting systems designed to capture light "around" the bulb. In some places they are directed to illuminate the "middle". Face directly in front of the lamp socket, and leave the rest in the dark. In spots with small pockets and a symbol right in front of them (almost all signal lights), making them an ideal choice as they are very clear and bright. The light quality is excellent. Very "white" without a disturbing hue. Just make sure they work for your application. I bought some of these and some with LEDs on the sides and just picked which ones to use accordingly. They appear to be good bang for the buck in all the right places.
