Buyer warning! There is no "organic bamboo "

I have some from my first baby that I wanted to reuse and they are even more itchy than I remember which is pretty itchy. I also mistakenly thought because of all the hype and false advertising that this is really "organic bamboo", that the bamboo was somehow eco-friendly and not made with toxic chemicals. Let me tell you all that there is NO such thing as "organic bamboo" and the manufacturing process is definitely NOT non-toxic. there is an interesting article on this topic from vision times magazine. So don't be fooled by products that say "organic bamboo" because they don't exist and don't think that bamboo fabric is safe. I personally don't want my sensitive nipples, which are likely to soak up fabric chemicals, to be exposed to these or any other nursing pads. Also, all these nursing pads have TPU plastic on the back to make them waterproof. Make sure it's TPU and not some other more toxic plastic. If you buy another brand, TPU is probably a safer plastic than vinyl or others, but not many tests have been done to fully prove this. It appears that the only non-toxic plastic used for impregnation is food-grade, vegetable-based polyethylene. So if you care about your health and your baby's health and don't want to be exposed to toxic chemicals, I recommend buying organic cotton nursing pads.
