I have an almost 30 lb dog (pictured) that has severe bonding issues. I tried everything to calm him down. Collars, a camera through which I can talk to him while I'm away (he likes it, but it's not enough), even other cheaper versions of it (came broke) and many other tricks. He barked most of the time when he was alone. and I work 12 hours a day. This makes for angry neighbors and frustrated roommates. He literally just barked at the thing once. We've had it for a few weeks now and it's still at a low level. I was worried that I would have to use the higher setting right away because the collars don't phase it, just momentarily. But I like it because it doesn't hurt him and it works. I also don't have to struggle to give him the medicine he hates and I know all my tricks. My dog is a master escape and although he can't bark, he still doesn't try to break free or cry too much to compensate for his inability to bark. I can't imagine it working for everyone, but for me it's a lifesaver.
