Review on General Tools 1267 Screw Snap Fastener Kit: All-in-One Solution with 6 Durable Fasteners by Kristen Reid

Good tool, decent buttons

With these types of buttons, you seem to be looking for anywhere from 50 cents to $2.00 for a set of buttons, and the cheaper ones have all sorts of shoddy reviews. I bought these as an average choice, so here are my thoughts: Screws: I've driven these into pre-drilled holes in steel members and I have to say I wish America would one day embrace a square (Robertson) or hex. The (hex) drive is standard for screws because I removed some heads from the screws. However, they are of pretty good quality for Phillips head screws. Canvas Setting Tool: I've only made one so far, but it worked great. Not much to say other than that the tool works as you would expect and it really doesn't take a genius to figure out how to work with it. After installing the Snap: I made a test bind and then zipped and unzipped it. this is several dozen times and it does not appear to have lost its holding power. You have a holding power. everything is OK. I use them to attach an awning to a trailer and I'll admit I'm not 100% sure they will be strong enough, but I think any use where they are clipped will feel probably will not solve. easy.

Pros
  • Sewing Tools & Supplies
Cons
