ADVANTAGES: A COB strip light is significantly brighter than a 24 LED light of the same size/design. It can be folded compactly, which is very convenient for traveling. In addition, the way the lamp folds protects both the lamp itself and the touch switch. Lightweight and portable, provides bright white light wherever you need extra lighting. Uses readily available 4AA batteries which to me is a big PLUS compared to more expensive rechargeable portable lights that will eventually die out with rechargeable batteries that don't seem to be replaceable, at least not easily. CONS: Touch switch. Personally, I prefer clicky switches, but this one works well so far, so it's acceptable. UPDATE July 12, 2019: I love these lamps so much I just bought two more. Received very quickly and both well tested. This is very convenient and running costs are minimal using rechargeable batteries or the included USB cable.
