installed 2 and they both leak

We installed 2 of the 4 rods supplied 1 of the rods was missing the rubber seal on the connector socket. Both installed rods leaked air from the plug after installation. Quality The rubber and crimp connectors appeared to be of good quality, but the connector let air through.
