Review on Dorman 924 134 GM Body Mount by Chad Mills

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better polyurethane! All day long

My 2004.5 2500hd suffers from terrible frameplay. It goes without saying that at 280,000 miles the stock rubber mounts have been removed! I originally ordered the Polypropylene set as it had good reviews. Polyethylene mounts improved beam but drastically increased perceived road vibration and road noise. I installed new rubber mounts and will say they are a lot softer than they have been in the 5 years of owning them. It's worth noting that the 2011+ rear cab mounts were on the truck long before I messed with the rest. They are worth every penny and take full responsibility for the 90 percent reduction in frame support. These rubber mounts are smoother than the polypropylene mounts and are only found on the radiator core mount, A-pillar mounts and B-pillar mounts, not on the rear. this is 2011+.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some issues
