The fan was beeping like a smoke alarm requiring a battery change. I contacted support and they said they had never heard of this issue and a tech would take care of it but have not received an answer yet. Then after a few days it won't turn on when you turn it off with the wall switch, it just wants to be controlled by the remote. I would have to reset the switch even if it doesn't work to get the fan working again with the remote control. I even swapped out the wall switch and put in a new wall switch but it still did the same thing. The fan wants direct current. My guess is that the remote receiver isn't great, and I think the only way to get the fan to work properly is to replace the remote and its receiver with a Hunter universal remote.
