I wonder why I bought this now that I have it. It's solidly built and works very well if you just place it on a flat surface indoors. As they say, this is where their usefulness ends. It is unweighted so can easily be blown away by the wind and must be placed on a flat, stable surface or it will tip over. The Osmo base fits a standard tripod screw. A good travel tripod or low profile clamp is probably the best option for most people. There's nothing wrong with the product itself, but be aware that you're paying close to $20 for a lightweight piece of plastic with a tripod screw. I thought it had more weight for the price.
