Measure with one hand!
I like this thing. It's a lot easier to use than my previous tape measure because I don't have to try to keep my finger on the tape so I can see what I measured. I just wrapped it around my waist, tucked the end of the tape firmly into the slot, and hit the retract button. I can then just pull the end of the ribbon out of the slot and look at the number closest to the retractable drawer. This speeds up the whole process significantly, especially with regular measurements.
