It was very easy to install, it was very solid, with a nice finish and lots of extras for different installations, but none of them were needed. Just the screws that hold the two halves of the wall rails together and the bolts and washers to attach to the wall. The included level appeared to be off, but I just used mine. level without adjustment. But even with the level turned on, you're close enough for the controls to even out. The ideal distance from the wall, allowing for easy assembly / disassembly or connecting a cable if necessary. The locks work great. We are not in an earthquake prone area but for those who are there it seems very well protected. Definitely recommend unless you need the pan/tilt of a fancier mount. It really cleaned up our installation.
