Better than most commercial covers
We were installing a larger TV in our RV and I needed to make a cabinet front that would block the downward-firing speakers. I cut out two ovals from the front and use this material to cover the holes. It worked great. It's transparent enough to see through and transmits sound very well. I used nails and glue to hold it in place. It looks professional and the TV sounds great. The color also went well with the pecan stain I used.
