Excellent jug, the lid is plastic but closes
I don't understand why people are complaining about this pitcher. It's a pretty jar and the plastic lid just twists a little and it closes. Then just turn up the slots and you're good. (I had a larger version of this pitcher and it was difficult to pour from it without removing the lid.) I poured iced tea into it. This stains the white cap but is not a deal breaker. I would buy again.
