Used this cable to rescue my 27 " Apple Thunderbolt Display

The review title says it all. The cable on my Thunderbolt display failed and I bought this cable to fix it to replace it by connecting it to a port on the back of the display and a port on my MacBook Air, bypassing the defective cable.
