Review on 🚿 GROHE 26644000 Rainshower SmartConnect Showerhead: Remote Control, 2 Spray Options, Starlight Chrome by Lindsay Siebert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Gentle, relaxing & soothing. You'll be enjoying it within 10 minutes of opening the box.

ADVANTAGES: β€’ Easy to install (if you have plumbing) β€’ Gentle and soothing rain shower β€’ Great workmanship β€’ Grohe quality, precision tools β€’ Remote pairing in seconds, nothing to do but insert batteries and press button. CONS: β€’ Not if I can get the remote to work fully (see below) EDIT: On our fourth shower with this head, the valve must have come loose and all functions work properly now. Now I get all three effects. I've added a 5th star below as I didn't even have to call Grohe. We use Grohe on most of our plumbing fixtures and they've always been great, durable and reliable. Yes, Grohe is more expensive than some of the competition, but you get what you pay for. Despite the price, it is very good value for money. This rain shower is no exception. We had an existing rain showerhead so the installation was just putting the batteries (included) in the showerhead and the remote control, screwing the showerhead to the outgoing plumbing and plugging the remote into the showerhead. Once we knew the remote worked (sort of) we stuck it to the tiles using glue on the back of the remote. I tried the remote before mounting it on the wall because a) you need to pair within 5 minutes of putting the batteries in and b) I didn't want to stick something on the wall that doesn't work. I pushed a button on the console, heard the valves move, clicked another, heard the valves move and we were done. All in all I'd say the installation took less than 10 minutes except... Although I could hear the valves moving when I pressed the remote, I didn't realize they didn't quite do that, what they should do . There are three buttons on the remote control. Remote control. One button for gentle rain around most of the showerhead, one for a stronger, smaller jet from the center of the showerhead, and one for both at the same time. I can't get a central valve working by myself. I can get either a larger girth waterfall or both girth and center, but I can't get the button to work just for the center valve. I'm deducting a star for that. It's the weekend and Grohe only provides support on weekdays. Based on my previous experience with Grohe, I assume that this problem will be solved. If the problem is solved, it is a 5-star product.
