I bought these because I was looking for a way to securely connect large SSDs to my computer. Each portal drive has been damaged by being plugged and unplugged. While this solved my problem, I only had a small problem trying to extract data from a partition backup. I restarted the device and everything is back to normal. The item is well made and looks great. They give you extra screws and a torque tool to open the front and insert washers. The airflow seems strong enough to cool these discs. If you're using 2.5" SSDs, you'll need to buy adapters, but they're easy to install out of the box.
