I bought this along with two other types of car mounts and was trying to find one that would keep my phone, GPS and DVR out of sight (blocked view) but still in "line of sight" so to speak This one looked promising as it was attached to a visor and the arm was articulated and rotated.The metal plates you attach to your phone for attaching magnets work best if you use the tape that came with the magnet.The magnet isn't strong enough to stick to the panels when you put them in a phone case also you have to be very careful how high you sit in your car I drive a forester and sit high in the cab if you put this on a Putting the visor on puts the phone right in your line of sight, which isn't ideal.I tried it on the far left of the visor, turning the phone towards me with my hand, with slightly better results. Then I realized I needed a USB power cable that was significantly longer than the three feet I had. I will be returning this piece as it just doesn't fit me. Depending on the make and model of your vehicle, this can work very well. However, the visors and where I sit in my Forester make this a poor choice.
